Theme: Fantasy AU

 

This is an AU Project, meaning all pieces must take place in an “Alternate Universe”. You can really get creative with this theme as anything can be an AU as long as it deviates from Canon. Your project may take place within the recognizable world of Final Fantasy VII. Story and characters may be canon compliant to a great degree, but you must find some sort of way to bring in AU & fantasy Elements. You may also play with brand new magical worlds of your own creation. You can stay or go as far from canon as you desire, including bringing in other characters from other Final Fantasy games—just please keep Final Fantasy VII a primary focus. The only major rule for this is it has to be Alternate Universe & contain clear Fantasy Elements.

 

AU Tropes you can play with and mix up (but not limited to):

 

Medieval, Modern, Sci-Fi, Royalty, Historical, Victorian (All with Fantasy Elements)

 

Creatures: Mermaid, Naga, Dragon, Shape shifter, Vampire, Werewolf, Elves, Fay, Angels, Demons, ETC

 

Gender changes, role reversal, Omegaverse, Sole Mates,

 

Character lives (instead of dies), Role Reversal,

 

Crossovers

 

 

 

Artist: Guidelines

 

- Illustrations must be rendered in Full Color

- Backgrounds are highly encouraged

- 2 page spreads with two related expressions or 1 long illustration can be requested, mention if you would like one in your pitch.

- All artworks made for the zine must be new and exclusive. We will give you a date when you can share it publicly.

-Traditional Art is allowed as long as you can scan it and provide a High Quality digital copy.

- Specifications for Merch designs will provided.

- Comics may have up to 2-4 pages.  Must be Full Color.

Writer Guidelines

 

- Completed Pieces are to be 2,500 words or around 8 pages

- Proper spelling and punctuation

- The piece must be new and exclusive only for the zine, until you given a date when you can share it publicly.

- All writings must be beta read before final submission by one of the mods. A Beta reader Mod will either be added during applications or prior.
